Back in July 2012, Josh Jones found a Black-necked Grebe on a pit on the corner of Baston Outgang Road and Cross Road at BLGP. These days, this pit is now more of a lake with a few islands and gets called the T-junction pit (as opposed to the 'wader pit' across the road to the east, which didn't exist at all in 2012). It is my second local BnG in the Peterborough area this year after a breeding-plumaged bird at March Farmers on the Nene Washes (Cambs) a few months ago when the whole Nene Washes complex was flooded.
